I know what you’re thinking, Computer, a wireless house, wireless speakers and that’s all you need.

It’s not so. Setting up the living room to deliver is hard work. If you are like me – early-adopter, you get the products when they come out.

” i just gotta have it”

This has it’s pros and cons.  This is what I had to go through being Mr. early-adopter with the iPhone. As I just had to have it, I cancelled my current plan switched over.

With the first iPhone, i was expecting 3g, it really was 1g. Still I hung out, checked it out and waited. The second Generation improved on the first, but this was when every ‘yuppie and hipster’ alike were switching over.  My AT&T network was clogged up.  Here’s how a call to  AT& T went.

You mean to tell me, I’m paying over $150 a month and i can’t download a 4.5mb attachment in 10 minutes.

‘Sir, we are doing all we can.

Look i know you don’t have enough towers, I worked in Telecom. Can I at least get some credits to my account?

“we don’t do that”

That was early 2009, I have since peaced AT&T even though they continued to charge me for 5 months.  Now I’m back with sprint and when the iphone exclusive contract is over next year, my iPhone will be rocking on the great not too crowded Spring 4G network.  ’I wonder what happened to Wimax.

With all this work that has to go into being a ‘early adopter. I suggest that before you go running to put the latest product in your living room, make sure it can do what you want it to do.

So, the question of the day?

Will i get the new iPad and is it really going to help me be more efficient working from home?

Honestly, I don’t know. I do know, that I will be waiting for the second generation iPad.

What’s in my living room? A lot of techie stuff, and yes they do make working from the recliner a breeze. It was a tough road and I’m still on it.
